In 1994, the West Hollywood Halloween Carnival was amazing. It wasn't the crazy sardine -packed mass of people it is today. You could actually walk up & down the Blvd at a normal pace. Everyone was in costume and it was just a celebration of gay culture in So California. Today it's a lot of fun, but it's become such a mega mass of people that it's almost a mad house. Most of the people who venture down to the Blvd now just show up because it's the place to be on Halloween. I've done the Blvd every year since '94 and it gets bigger & BIGGER. One of these years I think it will be too big for the city to handle. Until then...it IS the place to be. The largest Halloween festival in the world!!

This was my first experience and I was just getting my feet wet in the porn industry. I was dating Grant Larson at the time and still living in Phoenix. I came out for the weekend and we had a BLAST! This was the year of Ab Fab and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. There were lots of Patsy & Edinas as well as all versions of "Priscillas" displayed up & down the Blvd. I decided to be the ABBA (final Priscilla) one of the nights, and a sexy pirate the other night of celebration. In any case, to make the blanketed statement - "EVERYONE needs to wrap-it-up ALL of the time" is really myopic. Many people do not need / want to wear condoms. Many people will only have sex with condoms. Many people will only have sex without condoms. EVERYONE does, however, need to be SMART, HONEST, and RESPONSIBLE about their sexual practices and willing to accept the CONSEQUENCES of their actions, whatever they may be. If not, then there's really nothing the porn industry can do to sway decisions one way or the other.

Let's get real. The rise in HIV cases in whatever age group, in whatever demographic, is not directly related to the influence of bareback porn. Take bb porn out of the picture and these rises would be just as prevalent for many many other reasons. (i.e. complacency, understanding and controling the disease, a new generation of men not knowing the 'era of death'...for lack of a better phrase, better meds, increased drug use, alcohol, etc.) These are all reasons young men are putting themselves at risk. I will go so far as to say I'm sure bb porn does not HELP them in their decision to (or not to) use condoms during sexual encounters, however, if they've decided upon barebacking as a way of life...no amount of safe sex porn, PSAs, or scare tactics are going to stop them.

As far as models go, if you are negative, or really truely afraid of catching any STD, you might want to consider other lines of work to pursue. I've read lots of comments left on the safe sex blogs and the consumer is generally NOT that worried about the safety & well-being of the performer. It's up to us to weigh all the options before we stick dicks (sheathed or unsheathed) in ANY orifice.

Let's start taking accountability for our own actions. Have smart sex. Safe sex IS hot. Bareback sex IS hot. There is a market for both. I'm not going to venture to guess WHICH segment of the industry is more popular right now (or always has been), I'm just going to say...do what's best for you. Watch what you want to watch. October: BUSY BUSY Month!!!

Hi there. It's been a while since my last blog, I know. I apologize for that. I've been really busy both with work (new movie for Toxxxic AND appearing in one for Cre8tive Juices!!), and in my personal life. It's been an exciting Fall so far! ;-)

Let's see...October began with the filming of a new movie for Toxxxic....

It's a 'sling-themed' title featuring some very hot models! We've got a couple scenes in the can and have another one planned for next weekend. My next blog will be all about the shoot, so for now I'll just briefly cover who's in it.

October finished with a bang on Halloween at the biggest costume party on Earth!

The West Hollywood Halloween Festival brings out over 100 thousand people every year.

Neither "DEADLY" nor "EDGY" just FANTASY!!!

As you can see from the poll in OUT magazine, the public has spoken.

Many comments were also left on the website in corroboration of the poll's results, however, they are now off the website.

Maybe it is because they clashed with the writer's viewpoint in his article "Baring The Truth" or the as the headline on the cover of this month's issue states: "Deadly NOT Edgy, the Rise of Bareback Porn."

I commend OUT magazine for taking on the timely subject of bareback porn. The writer, James Gavin, gives an in depth look at the rise in bareback porn and his conviction that it correlates directly with "a corresponding rise in HIV infections." It would be interesting to, let's say, do a survey at testing centers or clinics around the world to see if we can once and for all pinpoint just how much of an influence watching bareback porn has on the final decision one makes in their sexual encounters to have safe sex or not.

Let's go a step further and try to picture a world without bareback pornography in this day and age. Would the spread of HIV be brought to a halt?? Could AIDS possibly be wiped out once the last infected person dies off years from now, only if bareback porn was eradicated??? One could say, take away the influence = bareback porn, then you take away the desire for people to perform it. Hmmm, makes sense.

SO....following those same ideals, we can also say - take away the promotion of alcohol = people won't want to drink....take away the lure of drugs = everyone clean...take away cigarettes = people won't want to smoke...take away McDonalds & all the fast food chains = no more obesity. Woo Hoo! A bareback-free, smoke-free, sober, HIV-, skinny world!!! Wait a minute...most all of my friends smoke & drink. I don't. I've constantly been around drug use and I don't have a drug problem. There are lots of fast food places by my house and on my way to work, yet I manage to eat healthy. It must JUST be bareback porn that has the greatest influence then.

The author of the article in OUT magazine is even quoted as saying, "I wonder if all the bareback porn I'd watched had somehow weakened my determination to always play safe." Well, it MUST have if we follow this logical thought process!

What we have here people is called "scapegoating." BLAMING an influence as the reason you act a certain way and not taking responsibility for your own actions. (And I'm not just saying that as an excuse so I can "sleep at night" as it is inferred in the article ;-)

The next issue I'd like to address is "hypocrisy." Regarding barebacking, there are a couple cases in particular. 1- Those who are publicly against the promotion of barebacking in the media, yet never use condoms in their own personal life, and 2- Those companies who say they will never promote barebacking or use models who have barebacked, yet make available on their websites (either for sale or VOD) "Pre-condom Classics" and/or feature models who have previously been in bareback movies because they are "marketable."

Issue 1- If you bareback in real life you may not think you are "promoting" it simply because you have never filmed it. WRONG. If you never use a condom in your private life, you ARE promoting barebacking. You are promoting it to the people you are fucking and all the people they tell that they had sex with you. What I'm trying to say here is that I've heard arguments from people saying "Well, they're watching you have sex w/out a condom, therefore, they will want to have sex w/out a condom. You're influencing them." My answer to them is "Well, wouldn't I be influencing them even if I didn't film it? What if they just knew I barebacked in real life, either with a lover or otherwise? Would just knowing I barebacked influence them any less than actually watching me do it??" Moving on...

Let me offer this analogy to ponder: a priest who preaches against homosexuality yet has gay sex in his personal life. If you publicly criticize (or condemn) promoting an act in which you practice yourself in your own private life, then you are like this priest - or a mother who drives home drunk from a M.A.D.D. meeting. Think about it. Practice what you preach people!

Issue 2- I can totally understand companies who will use models that have barebacked before because, hey...business is business. Everyone's ruled by the all mighty dollar. What I'm not getting is their justification in releasing their "Pre-condom Classics" as a non-promotional form of barebacking simply because these films were made "Pre-"AIDS scare. This just makes NO sense to me. Barebacking is barebacking no matter if it was done in 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, or today. A close-up shot of a cock going up someone's ass w/out a condom in 1970 looks no different then one going up someone's ass today. (Well, maybe as far as film quality goes it's different) but people really aren't going to be that concerned with that technical aspect while they're jacking off .

I can understand people thinking bareback porn is "Deadly" and/or "Edgy." I did not get into this side of the business to be deadly or edgy and I think the majority of people out there can understand that. I don't think bareback porn is edgy. There is so much of it out there now. It's becoming more and more the "norm." I think the trend will only continue in that direction.

Bareback porn (ALL porn for that matter) is as much of an influence on today's society as drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc. How we choose to allow these influences to affect our lives is really the issue at hand. As far as bareback porn goes, I think more than not, people realize and happily accept it for what it is - FANTASY - not reality, not deadly, not even edgy anymore.

Bring 'em Back...BAREBACK!!!

Stepping back in front of the camera performing in bareback movies was a relatively easy decision for me. It seems like that's where the industry is headed. SO now I've decided to bring back my Great Dane line of films. They are not bareback, however, all subsequent titles will be.I started Great Dane Productions in 1999 and produced/ directed three very successful movies. "NUDE SCIENCE" "PETERS" and "GOING DOWN & CUMMING OUT IN BEVERLY HILLS"

Each film was a big budget undertaking with some major names in the business performing their best. There were scripts, sets, photo shoots, great locations, you name it. Then my financial backer backed out and left me high & dry with these films. Anyway, now that I'm part of the Tipo Sesso family, I decided they need a dog (Great Dane)!!! SO now everyone can find these three DVDs (and VHS--yes, we still have those for the gals who still wear clip-on earrings!) on the Tipo website. The future of Great Dane Productions is going to be BAREBACK. However, all movies from this point on are going to be more along the lines of amateur 'reality' porn and shot totally in-the-raw. The big budget "blockbusters" are fine for people like Michael Lucas, Chi Chi & the folks at Falcon, but I think guys nowadays just want to sit in front of their computer (or TV) see RAW HOT FUCKING! As long as the lighting's not too bad & the guys aren't too ugly, you can basically just set up a camera in your bedroom & film a fuck session to be broadcast over the internet via outlets like Pornotube, X-tube & Gaywatch.com (to name a few).

Maybe I'll start a line for GDP of totally RAW footage of me in the bathhouse with all those other guys! If I could only be coherent enough while I'm there to get everyone to sign a model release, then we'd be in business!!! But, unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen.
